OPEN CALL 2022
We're looking for new residents to join the Hamburger Community of Art & Live in (March-December) 2022!!

We’re looking for six people for a nine-month residence at Roodkapje. The Hamburger Community is a multidisciplinary platform for young, emerging artists  and event programmers looking to take new steps in their careers and to further develop exciting ways to engage with audiences through visual art, performances, exhibitions, workshops and other interdisciplinary events.

The Hamburger Community has two different programmes; Art + Live. In the Art programme you will a.o. create a solo exhibition, publications and events. In the Live programme you will be developing a large part of the public event program at Roodkapje.

The residency period functions as a laboratory; a test site that offers residents the opportunity to experiment and develop exciting ways to engage with audiences.. The Hamburger Community offers its residents a shared studio environment within Roodkapje, a monthly fee, and a trajectory of mentorships and guidance.

If you have any questions about the residency programme, you're welcome to join the Open Call information evening on Thursday the 11th of november from 20:00 - 21:30
We'll show you some work of our current residents while the floor is open to interact and answer all your questions. Feel free to walk in and ask us anything.
If you are not able to come by on the information evening, you can always send an email to Marloes [at] roodkapje.org if there's anything you would like to talk about after reading the Open Call and appendix.

DEADLINE Open Call 23.11.2021
The deadline for the application to the Hamburger Community residencies is on Tuesday 23rd of November 23:59
Completed applications will be processed by a selected jury that includes experts/professionals from both ART and LIVE related disciplines. The same jury will select residents for both Art and Live residencies.
