Jermaine Faustin

Faustin is a Dutch/Antillean interdisciplinary artist based in Rotterdam. You can find him dancing in his room almost everyday to house, techno and trance sounds. Within his work as a queer artist he is questioning ways of expressing identity within contemporary society. Therefore he loves to explore and share music with others to empower and uplift the queer community on the dance floor.
DJ Shahmaran (house set)

DJ Shahmaran is a Dutch and Kurdish resident as well as programmer at KLAUW Collective (@klauwcollective). Using electronic music as a way to explore his queer, diaspora, rooted - as well as simultaneously uprooted - identity, his sets are eclectic, span a wide variety of genres and moods including fast and abrupt transitions, a lot of energy build-ups, and breaks with nostalgic vocals here and there.

FROM THEN TO HERE...

EXHIBITION | From Then to Here by Erik Peters
29 October - 20 November
Opening Friday 29 October from 17:00
With Erik Peters, Kumbirai Makumbe, Liminal Vision, Louisa Teichmann, Federico Poni and Camilo García A.

Welcome to the liminal. In his first solo exhibition, Erik Peters builds on his practice of collaborative worldbuilding to co-imagine a transcendent space with portals into alternative realities. They are worlds, existing somewhere between the present, the no-longer-conscious, and the not-yet-here. Taking place on different spatial and temporal paths, each world amplifies the others in the space. Together, From Then to Here, proposes a collective quest of sensemaking and imagination: where are we now, and where do we go from here?

As the present is not enough, From Then to Here presents divergent imaginations of how futurity can be explored and portrayed. Offering ways to reflect on potential paths explored by others, the space invites you to also reflect on the potential paths that might arise from within yourself. Through immersive and audiovisual works by Kumbirai Makumbe, Liminal Vision, Louisa Teichmann, Federico Poni, Camilo García A. and Erik Peters, From Then to Here elaborates on the significance of plurality through a multitude of narratives from more-than-human, queer, and ambitopian perspectives, among others.
